Dead Crown

Hailing from Portland, Oregon, Dead Crown operates as a four-piece metal unit whose sound delivers punishing force, built around veteran players drawn from the regional extreme metal community. The project began in 2017 when Kendall Johns, formerly the vocalist of Rise of Tides, formed the band and guided its fusion of melodic drive with aggressive textures drawn from death metal, doom, and metalcore. Alongside Johns, the lineup includes bassist Brent Sheffield, guitarist Eric Gemme, and drummer Bryton Wilson, the final two of whom also perform with Paragon. During 2017 the group unveiled two hard-hitting singles paired with videos, “Dethrone” and “Black Sheep,” before issuing its debut EP, Come Hell, the following year.
