Biography
Dead Red first came together in a remote Newfoundland community, taking any gig available while embracing the excesses of rock & roll living. Recognizing that further growth required a larger market, the members moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia. They entered the studio in 2000 to record their first album, resulting in Static, which appeared on Ready Steady Records. The band has since played numerous showcases and festivals across Canada, with a strong focus on the Maritime provinces, and has served as support for Nomeansno, Gob, and Groovie Ghoulies.
