Biography
Formed in Bergen, Norway, during 2002, Dead to This World originated as a solo project from vocalist and bassist Iscariah—formerly of Enchanted, Immortal, and additional outfits—yet stood out for its extremity even within black metal conventions. The lineup grew into a complete band once spectacularly named guitarist Goatpromoter Lava, previously of Aeternus and Taake, joined forces with drummer Mord. Three years afterward the three-song Dominions of Hell EP appeared, soon followed by a split release alongside like-minded purveyors of lo-fi mayhem Audiopain.
