Biography
Carson Cox, frontman of Merchandise, joined forces with Italian punk and hardcore veteran Marco Rapisarda—whose résumé includes L'Amico di Martucci, Smart Cops, and La Piovra—to launch Death Index, a brooding post-punk project colored by industrial textures. The songs move from concise thrash pieces driven by razor-sharp guitars and pounding drums to slower, more isolated dirges that recall Suicide. The duo tracked their self-titled debut album in Italy, Germany, and Florida, and Deathwish Inc. issued the record in February of 2016.
