Biography
Debbie Taylor, an obscure soul singer, launched her recording career with sessions for Decca in 1968 before shifting to GWP the next year. Her most prized material emerged during a 1972 engagement with the Today imprint, founded by producer and songwriter Patrick Adams. That lone album, Comin' Down on You, yielded the singles “Too Sad to Tell” and “No Deposit, No Return,” neither of which achieved notable commercial traction despite the consistent excellence of her vocal work.
