Deceiver

Emerging from Strängnäs early in 2004, the Swedish death/thrash outfit Deceiver began as a quartet that included guitarist Pete Flesh, bassist Crille Lundi, drummer Magnus "Flingan" Flink, and the amusingly named vocalist Destormo. Destormo departed soon after the group finished tracking its debut album, Riding with the Reaper, in mid-2005. With no suitable replacement found after a string of unsatisfying auditions, the remaining musicians opted to continue as a trio; Flesh therefore took on lead vocals alongside his guitar work for the 2006 release Holov Posen Tro May Trot. The band ultimately split in 2007, though a one-off reunion the following year produced a final album, Thrashing Heavy Metal, recorded solely so Flesh could lay down one last batch of material.
