Biography
In 1997 Dee Ranger arrived on the scene by way of the EP This Modern World, carrying a 1960s guitar-driven sound into their native Sweden. The group—Nicke Ohman on guitar, Johnny Elfstorm on bass, Uffe Pettersson on drums and Mike Eriksson handling vocals—took cues from the unvarnished approach of The Sonics and The Kinks. Across that same year the quartet issued several seven-inch singles on assorted labels, among them the Fall Down, I Just Wanna Rock 'n' Roll and Don't EPs.
