Biography
Marco Kehren, a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, launched the Deinonychus project after parting ways with the Dutch black metal outfit Malefic Oath, seeking to pursue a somber and theatrical strain of dark metal tinged with gothic nuances. The sorrowful The Silence of December from 1995 initiated this output, after which the industrious composer issued a sequence of ever more varied and enigmatic studies in suicidal despondency, among them The Weeping of a Thousand Years (1996), The Ark of Thought (1997), Deinonychus (1999), and Mournument (2001).
