Biography
DeMarcus Kelly, a gospel singer from North Carolina, first gained attention during the second half of the 2010s when he became the initial artist signed to Synergy Media. His commanding vocal performance anchored the upbeat 2017 release titled DeMarcus Kelly Presents: The Sound, which in turn opened doors to performances alongside prominent figures such as Tye Tribbett and Tasha Cobbs-Leonard. He issued his next live project, Endless Pursuit, in 2020.
Raised in Mt. Olive, North Carolina, Kelly developed his skills at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, where he took on the role of Minister of Music, established the local ensemble Youth N' Praise, and organized multiple youth revivals. Several years following his ordination as a reverend in the Missionary Baptist Church in 2012, he became the debut signee to the Greenville-based Synergy Media & Entertainment firm. This led to the issuance of his initial studio single, "I Am Yours," during 2016. The following year saw the arrival of his first live album, DeMarcus Kelly Presents: The Sound, solidifying his place in the broader gospel scene through joint appearances with KJ Scriven, Travis Greene, Tye Tribbett, and additional artists in subsequent periods. While also acting as worship leader for Have Life Church in Charlotte, he persisted with his recordings by putting out the studio single "Victory" in 2019 and the live album Endless Pursuit in 2020, which included contributions from Lejuene Thompson and Isaiah Templeton.
