Biography
Denton King, a native of West Virginia, channels his skills as a songwriter and vocalist into evoking the everyday blessings of Appalachian existence. His music aims to deliver encouragement, creative outlet, mental spark, validation, and simple enjoyment specifically to listeners approaching or already within the Baby Boomer cohort. Despite the setbacks this group has encountered, its members have shaped societal advancement in meaningful ways. King recognizes that the era’s familiar tunes continue to stir fond recollections of youthful endeavors among Boomers, even as they confront the threshold of seasoned adulthood. Through his 1998 album Songs To Be Heard, he supplies material intended to ease anxieties surrounding the uncertainties of contemporary maturity. He also maintains that Boomers have yet to deliver their most significant legacy to humanity and hopes the recordings will assist individuals in surmounting present obstacles so they can pursue the opportunities ahead. To those ends, King wrote, produced, and issued his debut album Songs To Be Heard in 1998.
