Formed in Gothenburg, Sweden, during 1982, the heavy metal band Destiny originated with bassist Stefan Björnshög, who recruited and dismissed a long series of supporting musicians across more than two decades and only a small number of albums released independently. Those recordings comprised Beyond All Sense in 1985, Atomic Winter from 1988, Nothing Left to Fear issued in 1991, The Undiscovered Country appearing in 1998, and Future of the Past released in 2004, all of which trace the ensemble’s shift from a traditional heavy metal approach to a power metal orientation without producing any material that approached genuine commercial impact.
