Biography
Formed in New Jersey during 1990, Deteriorot began with Paul Zavaleta handling guitar and vocals alongside Will Kuberski on lead guitar, Jim Hoffman on bass, and Jon Brody behind the drums. Their initial EP effort, Ceremonies of Blasphemy from 1992, never saw release when the label collapsed financially, while the follow-up Manifested Apparitions of Unholy Spirits in 1993, now including bassist Chris Machado, encountered similar problems with another company’s monetary troubles. The group remained inactive for much of the decade until securing a deal that brought in O.D. Lallo on bass and yielded their debut full-length In Ancient Beliefs during 2001. Will Kuberski, one of the original guitarists, departed shortly thereafter.
