Detlev Jöcker

Born in 1951 in Munster, Germany, Detlev Jöcker built a career as a singer and songwriter focused on children's music. His initial experience performing vocals occurred during the mid-'70s, when he joined the Peter Janssens Vocal Orchestra. Having left that group by the mid-'80s, he turned to writing and issuing his own material, launching the effort with the 1992 album The Rainbow Fish alongside Marcus Pfister. Across the decade that followed, he produced numerous full-length children's releases, among them 2008's Singen & Bewegen in der Weihnachtszeit.
