Based in Toronto, Devan functions as a singer, songwriter, and producer whose sound merges adult-alternative pop and classic soul with contemporary electronic textures. Prior to issuing her first solo material, she had already put out an album while performing with the indie folk ensemble Wild Rivers. Her initial solo offerings arrived as a pair of EPs during 2021, after which she issued additional soul-leaning tracks such as the 2023 singles “Still Think You Do” and “London,” following the band’s second album, Sidelines, and its Juno Award for Breakthrough Group of the Year.

Originally from Toronto and raised in London, Devan Glover established Wild Rivers alongside Khalid Yassein during their time as students at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. The pair later recruited guitarist Andrew Oliver and drummer Julien Laferrière, and the quartet independently issued their harmony-rich debut album, Wild Rivers, in 2016. The record accumulated millions of streams, prompting the group to sign with Nettwerk for the well-received 2018 EP Eighty-Eight. Wild Rivers resurfaced in May 2020 with Songs to Break Up To, and that October Devan appeared under her first name on the NATIIVE-produced track “Over With.”

She launched her solo career with the six-track EP Pink Noise in February 2021, released on Premature Nostalgia and featuring the single “Almost,” a duet with Corey Harper. Later that year the same label issued her follow-up EP, Liquid Sunshine, in October. After Laferrière departed Wild Rivers, the remaining trio delivered their second album, Sidelines, in early 2022. While that project earned praise from both listeners and reviewers, Devan continued issuing solo recordings, among them the duet “Already Know” with ELPENTHE and an expanded version of Liquid Sunshine.

In March 2023 Wild Rivers received the Juno for Breakthrough Group of the Year and subsequently joined more than fifty artists, including Sarah McLachlan, Alessia Cara, and Donovan Woods, on the charity single “What I Wouldn't Do (North Star Calling),” which combined elements of songs originally performed by Serena Ryder and Leela Gilday. Throughout the same year Devan released additional solo singles such as “Shut Me Up,” “Still Think You Do,” and the nostalgic “London.”
