Biography
Drawing its name from a track by the legendary punk outfit the Misfits, Devil's Whorehouse arose in 2000 out of Norrköping, Sweden. Guitarist Morgan Steinmeyer Håkansson and bassist B. War—both members of black metal titans Marduk—launched the project with vocalist Zweeda (guitarist with the Absolute Bastards) and drummer Hrafn, initially to perform covers of Misfits and Samhain material. The lineup soon shifted toward original compositions yet retained the Misfits' template of one-to-two minute songs about trashy horror movies, issuing The Howling EP before delivering their debut full-length, 2004's Revelation Unorthodox.
