Diamond D, a seasoned figure in hip-hop production, contributed to multiple highly regarded rap albums such as A Tribe Called Quest's The Low End Theory and the Fugees' The Score. His debut solo project arrived in 1992 under the title Stunts, Blunts & Hip-Hop, an underground classic issued in the name of Diamond & the Psychotic Neurotics. Limited commercial sales did not prevent the record from elevating his profile, leading to collaborations throughout the mid-'90s with acts like Illegal, House of Pain, KRS-One, and the Pharcyde. Numerous prominent MCs reciprocated on his follow-up effort Hatred, Passion & Infidelity, among them Busta Rhymes, Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest, and Pete Rock.
