Beginning her musical education at the age of five and beginning to compose songs by seventeen, Diane Juster achieved recognition throughout French Canada in the mid-1970s once Julie Arel interpreted multiple pieces from her catalog. The single "Ce matin" scored a hit for Juster in 1974, matching the impact of the accompanying album Melancolie. Following the appearance of M'Aimeras-Tu Demain in 1975, she elected to devote herself entirely to songwriting rather than continue performing. The later releases Regarde en Moi (1977), Tu As Laisee Passer L'Amour (1981), Rien Qu'Amoureuse (1984) and J'Ai Besoin de Parler (1987) led to a self-titled album issued in 1993.
