Diego's creative approach drew balanced inspiration from Detroit's foundational techno tradition and the first wave of British techno experimentation, incorporating occasional elements of nu-jazz and minimal techno. At age twenty he issued his debut recording, the Superposition EP, in 2000. His steady pace of work produced the full-length Mouthful of Fresh Cut Flowers in 2001 along with the additional album The Persuasion Channel. Multiple contributions to compilations and remix collections appeared throughout 2002, and 2003 brought his third solo album within three years, Instant Reality, on the Kanzleramt label.
