Biography
Dimentia 13, an Ohio group from the 1980s whose name came from a Francis Ford Coppola film made early in his career, blended garage rock with psychedelic elements and acoustic folk. Over the course of their six-year recording span, this ensemble put out six albums in all. The Soft Boys, Kevin Ayers, Syd Barrett, Soft Machine, and the Electric Prunes counted among their influences, leading the musicians to keep their personal identities under wraps. Releases on the independent Midnight label, based in New York, included the self-titled debut from 1985, Mirror Mind in 1987, T.V. Screen Head during the 1990s, and Flat Earth Society in 1991.
