Biography
Formed as a UK acid jazz collective, D'Influence featured vocalist Sarah Anne Webb alongside guitarist and keyboardist Ed Baden-Powell, the keyboardist and multi-instrumentalist Kwame Kwaten, and drummer Steve Marston. The ensemble first appeared in 1992 via Good 4 We before returning three years later with Prayer 4 Unity, simultaneously establishing themselves as prominent producers within modern British R&B through tracks they crafted for Mark Morrison and for Shola Ama, whose inaugural album Much Love came out via the group's Freakstreet imprint. London marked their third full-length release in 1997.
