Biography
Having completed several years pursuing political science and English Lit at Concordia University, songwriter Ben Fox departed Montreal in 2008 with his instruments in tow. He soon established himself in Toronto and began recruiting fellow musicians to interpret the songs he had written during his student days. Joel Clifton, Branko Scekic, Dave Wickland, and Lucas Fredette came together for the effort, enabling Dinosaur Bones to issue a self-titled EP before the year ended. The band performed a series of local dates supporting Sloan, Sebastien Grainger, and various other Canadian groups. While extending their live itinerary across America, the members simultaneously developed material for a complete album. Dine Alone Records released the resulting debut, My Divider, in 2011; two years later the follow-up, Shaky Dream, appeared.
