Dinosaur Eyelids

Hailing from New Brunswick, New Jersey, the quartet Dinosaur Eyelids produces intense yet tuneful and sincere rock & roll shaped by the alternative boom of the 1990s. Its lineup includes vocalist Evan Staats, guitarist and principal songwriter Patrick McKnight, bassist Scott Staats, and drummer Mark Leone. Brothers Evan and Scott have performed together since childhood, while Patrick and Mark share a longstanding personal bond. Drawing primary inspiration from the Replacements and Soundgarden, the musicians began collaborating in the late 2000s and issued their self-released debut, Winter Solstice, near the close of 2009. The industrious group soon established itself as a steady presence at area venues, appearing frequently across New Jersey and Pennsylvania with occasional shows in New York City. Their sophomore release, Down a River, surfaced in February 2011, and Conflagration followed in October 2012. After further regional dates and bills shared with Dean Ween and the Parlor Mob, the band unveiled its fourth album, Bypass to Nowhere, in December 2014.
