Biography
Formed in Norway during 1997, The Dipsomaniacs must be distinguished from an unrelated American ensemble that shares the same name. Their sound draws heavily from psychedelic pop and rock of the 1960s as well as the paisley underground. Oyvind Holm serves as the group’s central creative force, composing most of the songs, delivering lead vocals, and performing on guitar plus an array of other instruments. The band’s fourth album, Stethoscopic Notion, appeared in 2001.
