Biography
A Georgia-based country-rap duo known as the Lacs, active since 2002, conceived the Dirt Rock Empire venture. Momentum built for the pair throughout the 2010s, highlighted by their 2013 album Keep It Redneck reaching the Top Ten on Billboard's Country Albums chart. Following rising success in subsequent years, the duo established their own imprint under the Dirt Rock Empire name during 2017. That September saw the label issue its inaugural showcase album, Dirtbagz, Vol. 1, spotlighting contributions from the Lacs alongside Big Snap, Sonny Bama, Crucifix, Cymple Man, Hard Target, and Almost Kings.
