Dissonance

Established in 1993, the electronica/industrial pop outfit Dissonance originated as a solo vehicle for vocalist Cat Hall. Collaboration with programmer David Sebrind started the next year, and by 1996 the pair had logged numerous tracks on independent compilations before Paul Robb of Information Society took notice and signed them to his Hakatak International label. Their self-titled debut album appeared on Hakatak in 1997. The band’s second studio effort, Reincarnate, came out on Nilaihah in 2002.
