DJ Baby Anne rose to prominence as a club impresario who positioned herself among the standout mixers of the late 1990s and distinguished herself as one of the limited number of female bass DJs whose intensity equaled that of contemporaries such as Alice Deejay and Debbie Deb. Her friend and dance authority DJ Icey sparked her entry into the field, leading her to purchase her opening pair of Technics decks in 1992 and thoroughly internalize the expertise passed on by this advisor. At the outset they collaborated on live appearances, enabling Baby Anne to rapidly convey her dedication to breakbeats and electro-bass across the Miami club circuit.

She issued six singles through DJ Icey’s Zone Records imprint and supplied material for the 1999 Phattraxx collection Bass Queen: In Mix (A Bass & Breaks Continuous Mix). In July 2000 she secured a standing role as a Phattraxx mixer via a residency at Icon in Orlando, during which span she further delivered Bass Queen: In the Mix, Vol. 2.
