DJ Bam Bam

DJ Bam Bam cultivated an intense fanbase by delivering furiously paced, seamlessly blended sets of hard-hitting house tracks, echoing the path of Chicago hard house trailblazer Bad Boy Bill. At age 18 he joined UC Music as a producer and issued material simply under the name Bam Bam on the Chicago label that also housed Angel Alanis and Alex Peace. Alongside those UC productions, he assembled several mix albums for Strictly Hype from the late 1990s onward, comprising two entries in the House Blend series and two more in the Hard Beats series. He switched to Topaz Records in 2002 for the release of Do You Like It Hard?, a mix album of similar character yet backed by expanded funds for marketing and licensing. That summer a tour sponsored by Topaz carried his rising profile outside the Midwest.
