Biography
Born in Cleveland, E-Feezy developed an early passion for turntables during his teenage years and launched his career as a hip-hop DJ with a debut performance at age 12 under the name Mach Six. By 14 he had already made his first appearance on Cleveland’s WENZ. After heading south, he attended Alabama A&M for college and the University of Alabama for graduate studies, where he began mixing records for Huntsville outlets WEUP and WHRP. His program was soon syndicated, expanding his reach throughout southern markets. Following graduation he relocated first to Memphis and then to Louisville, becoming the youngest music director in the nation at WGZB. He later secured a regular slot on the nationally syndicated Russ Parr in the Morning and joined the Heavy Hitters DJ crew. Further opportunities drew him to Miami, where he secured multiple club residencies and began championing local hip-hop artists. The 2015 release The Wolf of South Beach assembled an all-star lineup that included Lil Wayne, Juicy J, French Montana, Timbaland, Migos, Rich Homie Quan, Meek Mill, Jim Jones, Denzel Curry, 808 Mafia, and Miami talents Trina, Young Star, Super J, and Zoey Dollaz. Subsequent singles such as “Making Luv to the Beat” with Watch the Duck, “Shoutout” with Yo Gotti and Ace Hood, and “S.Y.U.” with Plies, Trina, Super J, and Young Star gained traction. In 2017 he delivered the old-school, Luther Vandross-sampling “Got Me Crazy (No Better Love)” featuring K Michelle, Rick Ross, and Fabolous.
