Biography
Known for his bass-heavy productions that deliver theatrical impact in the vein of Mike WiLL Made It and DJ Khaled, hip-hop producer and radio personality DJ Infamous Talk2Me also works as an on-air host. Calvin Donald first saw the light of day in Lansing, Michigan, and took up DJ duties at age eleven after adopting his stage name from Mobb Deep; early performances carried him through parties, school dances, and any available venue. While still in high school he launched his own program on Michigan State University’s 88.9 FM. College found him working a Huntsville, Alabama station before he secured an internship at Atlanta’s V-103 FM. After finishing his degree he moved to Atlanta to accept a permanent role at the same station. Affiliation with the Heavy Hitters and We the Best crews helped him cultivate a local following and sparked an enduring bond with Ludacris, who selected him as tour DJ in 2011. Additional studio work linked him with T.I., Jeezy, Kanye West, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Rick Ross, Big K.R.I.T., 2 Chainz, and Yo Gotti. His initial major songwriting credit arrived with the 2012 single “Itchin,” which featured Future. E1 Music signed him the following year, after which he released “Somethin’ Right” alongside Big K.R.I.T. and Yo Gotti. Two more tracks surfaced in 2016: the Childish Major–produced “Run the Check Up,” featuring Jeezy, Ludacris, and Yo Gotti, and “Double Cup,” which included Jeezy, Ludacris, Juicy J, The Game, and Hitmaka.
