Biography
Sean Kennedy, known online as DJ Kenno, achieved sudden prominence across the U.K. by uploading a YouTube clip of himself delivering a chant aimed at Wigan Athletic F.C. striker Will Grigg that followed the melody of singer/songwriter Gala’s 1997 chart hit "Freed from Desire." The footage spread rapidly across the internet, leading Bristolian deep house production duo Blonde to create a remix that placed the chant at the center of its refrain. The resulting track entered the U.K. singles chart at number 11.
