Biography
The distinctive style of DM Bob and The Defictits fuses Americana foundations of rock 'n roll together with Cajun, rockabilly, southern R&B and lo-fi garage ingredients. Their first full-length release, Bad With Wimen, surfaced in 1996 and prompted comparisons to Southern Culture On The Skids and '68 Comeback, while the EP Mexico Americano appeared the same year and set a Crypt Records precedent as the label's earliest release built around a drum machine. Bush Hog'n Man arrived the following year in 1997, recorded without any Boss Digital.
