Biography
Doc Evans, an accomplished Dixieland cornetist, began by freelancing throughout the Midwest and later directed his own ensembles in Chicago from the 1940s forward. Between 1949 and 1959 he cut numerous sides for Audiophile. Eventually settling in Minneapolis, Evans kept performing until shortly before his death, concluding his recording career with sessions in 1975.
