Biography
Dog Chocolate came together in 2014 as a ramshackle London noise-punk quartet styled after Art Brut, Sleaford Mods, Ex Models, and Parquet Courts. Surname-hating Jono handled drums while Matthew played guitar and pedals, Rob took the other guitar slot, and Andrew managed keyboards. The quartet’s earliest LP appeared that same year as a split release with post-punk noisemakers Ravioli Me Away on London indie Upset the Rhythm. Their first proper non-split full-length, Snack Fans, followed in 2016 on the same label. Two years after that the band delivered the spastic Moody Balloon Baby as their sophomore album.
