Dolphin Midwives serves as the sole creative outlet for Sage Fisher, the musician and artist residing in Portland, Oregon. She crafts and delivers experimental pieces that feel both ritualistic and inwardly focused, drawing on harp, zither, electronics, and vocals to probe intersections of nature, technology, and magic. The project began in the mid-2010s, with her first vinyl outing, Liminal Garden, arriving in 2019.

West-coast stages, galleries, and events such as PDX Pop Now and Debacle Fest have hosted her Dolphin Midwives appearances. Issued by Obsolete Media Objects in 2016, her earliest recording, Orchid Milk, came out on cassette. At Portland’s Bison Building in 2017 she mounted NATURAPHONES, an installation that combined audio sculptures, live performances, and movement. Another sound-art event, Break: Preparations for the Apocalypse, took place at the Variform Gallery in December 2018. Beacon Sound and Sounds et al jointly issued the studio album Liminal Garden at the start of 2019.
