Biography
Fusing incendiary tracks drawn from metal’s most aggressive strains with unrestrained bursts of hardcore punk energy, Domeshot deliver surging, groove-heavy material propelled by fiercely inventive guitar work and commanding rhythmic drive. The group, assembled from seasoned musicians, began collective rehearsals in Des Moines, IA, during 2000 after guitarist Norman Patton—formerly of Roadfilm—teamed with drummer Brad Schnock. Subsequent recruitment of Dan Hutchens on guitar, Matt Zingg on bass, and Joe Scheffler handling vocals rounded out the lineup. Patton soon departed, however, with Harold Waits stepping in to solidify the final roster. Following a string of performances at area venues, the musicians booked studio time to capture an initial demo recording while simultaneously readying their first full-length album.
