Biography
The indie duo Dominant Legs, an eclectic outfit based in San Francisco, comprises Ryan Lynch on vocals and guitar together with keyboardist and vocalist Hannah Hunt. Lynch, who also plays guitar in Girls, first began composing songs after losing his office-assistant position. He and Hunt connected via mutual friends and began performing once she returned from architecture studies in New York. Their material moves across cheery synth pop, folk, and electro-acoustic reveries, recalling Neon Indian in one passage and Arthur Russell in the next. Following a signing to Lefse Records, Dominant Legs issued the debut EP Young at Love and Life in August 2010. Lynch and Hunt then brought bassist Andrew Connors, guitarist Garett Goddard, and drummer Rene Solomon into the group to record the fuller-sounding 2011 full-length Invitation.
