Domingæ works as both a musician and a filmmaker, having first gained recognition for her guitar playing in the Chilean psych-rock group Föllakzoid, whose sound draws on the hypnotic pull of Krautrock alongside minimal techno. Her initial solo release arrived in 2021 as the experimental electronic album Æ, whose dark, shifting textures sit atop throbbing beats.

In 2007 Domingæ García-Huidobro helped establish Föllakzoid, which went on to issue multiple albums and EPs through the Chilean imprint BYM Records as well as Brooklyn-based Sacred Bones. Additional collaborations include work alongside Jozef Van Wissem and Jason Pierce of Spiritualized and Spacemen 3, while her remix credits encompass Jim Jarmusch’s band SQÜRL and Dave Gahan’s Soulsavers project. Following the 2019 appearance of Föllakzoid’s album I, she journeyed to Japan, where fashion designer Kozaburo commissioned original music from her. During an artistic residency at a traditional farmhouse in Yamaguchi she began developing solo material, overhauling her established compositional habits in the process. After relocating to Mexico she completed Æ, which Sacred Bones issued in 2021.
