Lyricist Don George earned his primary renown through partnership with jazz legend Duke Ellington. One standout result of that association remains the enduring standard "I'm Beginning to See the Light," shaped jointly with Johnny Hodges and Harry James, while further titles such as "I Ain't Got Nothing but the Blues" and "Everything but You" also emerged from their shared efforts.
