Don McGlashan

Hailing from New Zealand, Don McGlashan launched his extensive musical journey in 1979 as a member of the percussion ensemble From Scratch. After a two-year tenure drumming in the punk outfit Blam Blam Blam, he partnered with Harry Sinclair in 1985 to establish the Front Lawn, an act fusing music, theater, and film. He led the acclaimed alternative rock band the Mutton Birds through its run, which concluded with the group’s 2002 disbandment. McGlashen has since scored projects for film and television while issuing the 2006 solo album Warm Hand alongside his current group, the Seven Sisters.
