Biography
Don Patrol came together in Sweden during 1990, featuring Dille Diedricsson handling vocals, Peter Nordholm on guitar, Imre Daun behind the drums, and Henrik Thomson on keyboards. Their hard rock approach, rooted firmly in blues traditions, evoked the styles of Free, Bad Company, and Grand Funk Railroad right from the start. Avoiding excessive production sheen, the band favored raw and instinctive recordings whenever they entered the studio. This approach shone through most clearly on their debut album from 1990, which earned broad acclaim along with significant radio exposure. By contrast, the 1992 follow-up A Wire, A Deal And The Devil presented greater intricacy yet lacked the direct appeal and overall impact of its predecessor.
