Biography
Doomsday Ceremony originated in Curitiba, Brazil, during 2000, seeking to blend the ferocity of black metal with the tuneful qualities of classic '80s metal. Brothers Moloch on vocals and Ciriato on guitar guided the group, which issued a self-titled demo in 2001 before devoting the ensuing years to refining its approach through live shows and studio work. The debut full-length, Apocalyptic Celebration, appeared in 2008 on Brazilian Attack Records. Following a track contribution to a tribute album honoring Brazilian metal act Amen Corner, sessions for the next release commenced in 2011. Second album Black Heart emerged domestically in 2015, then received worldwide distribution the following year via Greyhaze Records.
