Biography
The lineup of Down to Earth Approach featured Jonathan Lullo on vocals and guitar, Ryan McClurg on guitar, John McCampbell on bass, and Peter Metzler on drums. Hailing from New York, the group faced multiple early setbacks before momentum built around 2000 after a relocation to California, at which point their music coalesced into a robust emo/indie rock approach shaped by acts such as Sunny Day Real Estate and the Get Up Kids. Vagrant Records soon expressed interest and put out the band's debut LP, Another Intervention, in early 2004.
