Biography
Dream Diary, a dream pop group rooted in New York City, came together in 2009 with Jacob Danish Sloan, Madison Farmer, and Alexander Iezzi at its core. This Brooklyn-based trio crafts melodies that fuse retro shoegaze with twee pop and indie rock elements, drawing influence equally from established romantic acts such as the Smiths and the Pastels and contemporary groups including the Pains of Being Pure at Heart and Frightened Rabbit. Their debut effort, the breezy You Are the Beat—self-labeled as “cardigan rock”—appeared in 2011 via Kanine Records.
