Biography
The sonic-driven output of Scottish quintet Dream Disciples conjures the shadowy essence of gothic rock. Gritty-voiced vocalist Col Lowing steers the ensemble as it persists in honoring the netherworld through bleak numbers such as "The Dream Is Over", "Love Is Fatal", "Black Widow", "Librium" and "Misery Whip".
Lowing and guitarist/keyboards player Sid Bratley, who had performed together since the late-1980s, established Dream Disciples in 1991 expressly to probe those shadowed territories through sound. The initial lineup, featuring bassist Karl North alongside guitarist/keyboards player Gordon Young, later grew when ex-Circus of Horrors drummer Mark Champion joined in February 2000.
