Biography
Dream Junkies emerged in 2014 as a Southern California rap collective rooted in positive, spiritually minded themes, bringing together Beleaf, John Givez, and Ruslan. Each participant had already built a solo career before the trio united, with Beleaf and Givez connected as brothers-in-law and all three maintaining close ties to their local church. Although faith shapes their lyrics, the members have consistently resisted any strict categorization as a Christian rap act. Their first full-length project, Good Religion, arrived in March 2016 via Beleaf’s own Kings Dream imprint and appeared on Billboard’s R&B, rap, independent, and Heatseekers tallies, after which the group mounted an extensive touring schedule behind the record.
