Dream On operated primarily as a temporary venture rather than an enduring band, granting renewed opportunities to several contestants eliminated from the talent contest Any Dream Will Do. Craig Chalmers, who finished fifth and subsequently headlined the road production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, guided the lineup completed by Lewis Bradley, Chris Barton, Antony Hansen, and Chris Crosby. The members assembled an album of familiar material drawn from stage musicals alongside mainstream pop tracks, which reached retail outlets in 2008.
