Drunk

The lineup of Drunk features Rick Alverson handling vocals, Via Nuon on guitar, J.T. Yost playing accordion, and Russell Cook behind the drums. Drawing inspiration from singer/songwriters such as Leonard Cohen and Nick Cave, the group also incorporated elements reminiscent of Smog and Sparklehorse. Their debut CD, A Derby Spiritual, came out in January 1997, with To Corner Wounds appearing the following April. Jagjaguwar put out Raised Toward in February 1998, while Sickbed arrived in June 1999.
