Biography
Dusan Bogdanovic works as a composer, improviser, and guitarist whose efforts span classical, jazz, and world music traditions. He was born in Yugoslavia in 1955 and, once his training ended, accepted a faculty post at Switzerland’s Geneva Conservatory. Worldwide performances have yielded an extensive discography that includes jazz sessions alongside Charlie Haden, Anthony Cox, and James Newton for the Palo Alto, Intuition, and Concord labels. As a founding member of the Falla Guitar Trio, he helps shape an acoustic-guitar repertoire that merges Afro-Latin, jazz, light classical, and mainstream pop material. Several albums appeared from him during the 1980s, yet his return arrived with the 2000 release Keys to Talk By.
