Biography
Dustdevils, a noise-rock outfit from New York City, came together in the mid-1980s under the direction of British expatriate Michael Duane alongside Australian-born singer and bassist Jaqi Dulany. Having started out in Leeds, England, the band put out several releases via the Rouska imprint prior to crossing the ocean. Upon arrival, they added bassist Mark Ibold along with drummer Reed, enabling them to lay down the 1989 TeenBeat single "Is Big Leggy." Geek Drip, their debut album, appeared later that year, with Struggling Electric & Chemical arriving in 1990. Pavement would soon count Ibold among its members.
