Biography
In the mid-1990s a UK remix collective operated in strict anonymity. Information that surfaced nevertheless identified its members as a UK record company boss, an engineer experienced on albums by Eric Clapton and Phil Collins, and two A&R executives. Dina Carroll, Judy Cheeks, Eternal and Pauline Henry numbered among the acts they served. East End was formed expressly to deliver commercially viable dance remixes, its participants having grown frustrated with the arcane and unsellable reworkings supplied by headline producers.
